Larry Burns
is a nationally recognized designer and stylist. Larry’s client list spans the East Coast and his work has appeared in numerous national publications, with House Beautiful recognizing him as one of the top designers in America. Larry specializes in Private Residential design, Commercial design, and Editorial and Advertising Photography design and styling, with clients in New York, Washington D.C., Connecticut, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware in addition to Pennsylvania.
As an Interior Designer
, Larry is known for his ability to do many different styles, but believes most in relating interiors to clients tastes and lifestyles. My designs are always client driven not ego driven. While much of his work adheres to a classical traditional aesthetic, he is a man of today.
“Personally I am a passionate collector of antiques and am crazy about anything English . . . but I am just as excited by a contemporary painting as I am with an antique English Georgian table, and I enjoy creating a Contemporary interior just as much as a classic Traditional one.”
Larry is interested in blending periods, style and colors in his decorating, with a great emphasis on comfort and relatability. The result is a comfortable elegance that is ultimately very fresh and understated in its presentation.
As a seasoned Photography Stylist for Editorial and Advertising projects, Larry has worked on countless projects in studios across the country for clients who market Luxury Home Decor and Building Products. Unlike many designers, Larry is an adept marketer with great organizational skills which enables him to also be an exceptional Art Director. He can take any project from its conceptual stages all the way through to the final photo shoot - which includes concepts, set design, set dressing, and working closely with the photographer.
Larry knows the importance of staying current and in touch with the times. “Top designers are constantly on the look out for stimulating ideas around the world. I thrive on checking out undiscovered resources, viewing new art, visiting antiques shops, following new trends in color, looking for new concepts in fashion, and product design, and I love to introduce my clients to emerging artists and craftspeople.“
Larry recently has seen his own tastes and those of his clients shifting. I see a desire to simplify life and for less complicated interiors. I agree with many industry leaders that the future is about a smarter use of resources and support of lifestyles.
Larry is currently working on a Private Residence in New Jersey that is to be featured on HGTV. Other recent projects include the redesign and renovation of a Corporate Hotel and Conference Center called the Armstrong Manor, and the design of Corporate Skyboxes at the Lancaster Barnstormers and Orioles Park Stadiums.
